The Chupz Origin Story

Bold Taste. Island Roots. Healing from Within.

Long before Chupz became a name you could sip, it was a feeling. A flavor. A memory passed down across generations, poured with love and purpose.

Born in the heart of the Caribbean, Chupz is more than just a drink. It is a legacy in a bottle. Our recipes were created on island soil, crafted in family kitchens where ginger was grated by hand, sorrel was steeped with care, and every fruit was picked at its freshest. These vibrant blends were not measured in ounces. They were felt in the rhythm of family, culture, and connection.

As children, we did not just watch. We worked. We grated the ginger by hand, knuckles sore and eyes watering from the spice in the air. We stirred the pots, strained the sorrel, and waited anxiously for the first taste. These were the original batches of Chupz, made not in factories but in family tradition.

For generations, our family passed these recipes down like sacred songs. Whispered secrets from grandmother to grandchild. Shared at backyard gatherings and beachside celebrations. Every sip of Chupz carries the warmth of tradition, the comfort of home, and the boldness of Caribbean spirit.

Why the Name “Chupz”

We chose the name Chupz because it captures attitude. The kind of bold, unapologetic expression you feel when someone gives that iconic "chuups". That sharp "kiss-of-the-teeth" gesture. It is a sound, a symbol, a whole mood in Caribbean culture. It says “this got flavor” or “do not mess with me.” That same energy lives in every bottle. It is loud, flavorful, and full of personality.
